Thursday 6th September 2012 was the fourth episode of Daybreak relaunch. It was hosted by Matt Barbet and Ranvir Singh in the Daybreak Newshour (6:00 - 7:00) and hosted by Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones during the main part of the show (7:00 - 8:30). This edition featured an interview with the prime minister, David Cameron responding to a Teeside judge's comments and more Paralympics coverage. It also featured Alison Steadman talks about starring in Inspector George Gently. From 6am to 7am most of the talk on the show was on the comment made on burglary takes "courage" comment and the build-up to the interview with David Cameron. It also featured the story on Jonnie Peacock winning a Paralympic medal.

Most of the show from 7am to 8:30am was based on the highly anticipated interview with David Cameron and a chat with Alison Steadman about her new role.
